saturday in the barrio, the kids on calle Rosal have been washed away and the silence returns. the girl sleeps and we are dog-less this saturday in the barrio....
very little responce to the new peices, " Beside the freeway with Don Quijote no.2 " and " Manoline, in another moment of contemplation, 18 may 1998 " that they have'nt gone up on the walls yet, " i can't believe i've so much storage space..."
there is good news though, they sold a lot of paintings in sothbeys yesterday, 21,000 €... a lot of paintings by a monkey. dali was a fan, picasso, and ernest hemmingway. Monkey paintings, and a dead monkey at that. huh... if the brothers at sothbyes are so hard up as to have to drag out the monkey paintings ... hell boys, i've a whole shitload of paintings stored all over the country... gimme a call... 034 636 54 68 25... another saturday in the barrio, and another day in this weird and beautiful land....
