.... and nobody said that ant of this was gonna be easy, sure. But now the freakshow goes into the waiting fase, and we're wonderin' What the hell are we gonna do until NOVEMBER !!!!! , waiting for the state to make up their minds.
November. I said, November. In January the decision will come down, yeah, i said January, and it will have been over a year we've been dancin' to this tune. Tired of the dance ? the dance to remain here in this weird and beautiful country...? there have been some questioning my reason, " smells alot like they don't want ya there Level..." yeah, i know. nothing new.
So, the girl is a bit freaked. The lawyers are happy though, say this is the best that could occure. yeah, the state, they'ev spent 100,000 € , and all the paper, all the vailed threats, and more paper... only to forget about this poor artist, marroned on this weird and some what senceless, yet beautiful desert island called España... thank god i have this dark sence of humor, and this immortality, or this freakshow would be no fun at all...

So, with california in flames the summer begins. Not that the Cort Ingles had'nt already said so, the fires make it official. The Popes on vacation in Brazil, and the italians down at the Gondola, well their gone too, was'nt a porsche to be found in the garage yesterday... and they say i'm on vacation... wanna go to Moldavia, and i wanna go now. laptop, digital camera and all... workin' in other words. in the winter i'm wantin' to go to Nigeria, then Bolivia, then Moscow... yep, the bug is alive and lookin'
So, the TV news just told us the fires are " apparently " under control. i was worried there. And with that ends summer, it will soon be cloudy and brisk in the mornings, and being Asturias, it will be raining or snowing at any moment...ahhhh think i'll put on a sweater....

". painting ,writting , and cleaning the house, i wait. if i had criminal tendencies... would be a little less boring, but i don't possess these qualities. thank god. No, friends im just gonna wait it out. be happy, be rich, be creative with this limbo i've been handed. some people would consider this a blessed vacation, then again, theres folks that say i've been on vacation for the past 10 years... huh.
I finally speak to marco fuoco, been some 20 years or so. sounded the same, and in Youtube, if yer looking, por fin," The Tourtured Poet " ... look it up. we were minor gods back then, and are planning the next fase... stay tuned. could be really weird, 70's children, so we are... cover you eyes and hair...

So, we lose Don Ho. grew up with Don Ho, and it is'nt until now i give him his worth. the bubbles have floated away, and now i've to buy " the complete Don Ho "... little by little we're loosing um', our heros. we need more...
i've mine, and you ? i'm thinking of Jim Wilson, the neibhour next door on Kukui st., in Huntington Beach, Ca. my families first home. Jim taught me to play chess, to paint, table tennis, and the first naked woman i saw in life ...? yep, jim's lovely wife ______, don't remember her name. he had the first mercedes i'd seen, and could shave his head without a mirror... a hero of mine, Jim Wilson.

A man approached me on the street and asked " your not going to show those paintings of the concentration camp...are you ? " i said " yes. yes i am." the brother then said this, " your lucky your not in America, talking this shit...maybe you should go back to Mexico, where you came from..." . " Wo", i said... "i did'nt think my spanish was that good, thanks."
i spent some months in a village in north Mexico , Bahia Keno, 1996. it was a different world then, but they did,nt know it there in the village at the end of the road. Had other worries, like food and clean water, and a real doctor to come and install himself in that little paradise... at the end of the road.. every year someone leaves for good, a funeral, of sorts, is held for the absent ones, as none return...they go to start over in america, where the streets are paved with gold, and this poor artist, is nowhere to be found...yep, gonna show the paintings of the concentration camp, so i am...My impression of Heros...

once upon a time there was a poor artist living in a weird and beautiful land...he faced many unknowns tripped many traps and met many profets, near profets and drunks that in their ways provided the keys to various doors that opened onto various freaks, which resulted in various freakshow some of which continue at full volume... even today. And as i've always said, when life deals one a hand of freaks, one makes a freakshow.
if anyones looking i've a real winner goin' on here in this weird and beautiful land. I have all the players identified, and cataloged and wait only for the machine with which to record it all, again. all that i have heard and seen, smelled, tasted and stood mouth open in gapeing awe, suprise and wonder...."Could'nt pay anyone to act like that Marco...we're blessed."
" Your 100% with this idea eh Paco ???!!! " paco lost 2 fingers. only 2 fingers... i was smart enough, or blessed enough to find a wall to duck behind and got it all on video. " Can't pay people to act like that Marco !!"

i've always tried not to paint the same things over again, but this time ive reproduced a peice stolen by Rosa Maria Valdes Martinez, then stolen again by those two in the cadillac... that poor painting... treated pretty poorly. its sunday,and have been married to the girl 9 days, and all good. little has changed. i'm happy enough, as is the girl.
we have survived much togeather. SO WHEN DO WE SEE THE RESULTS !!!!!?????!!!!. filed for my papers in the forign office friday, lets wait and see how they, the state, deals with this poor artist....another day in the barrio, and another day in españa..the freakshow continues....

Its 6.30am, raining and i've still many roads to travel. as do we all, i know. im with this cool chick, what? 6 days, as a husband. does'nt hurt at all. huh. myself, i feel installed for the duration, this my friends is a new feeling, a new situation. i've something that won't get lost... good thoughts on a rainy day. the world continues to fall apart, and selling this new peice is the name of todays tune...yeltsens in the ground and im thinking of that day in 90' , in portland, oregon...
the summit between him and the father bush... we'd hung a big" YELTSEN " banner from the roof of The Hand Gallery, 333 s.w.Park ave., and the seceret service guys whom "asked " us to remove it were nice enough. nice suits... i've lived a freakshow of a life up til now...ready to sit. ready to write it all down, names included.

So, the gods have smiled on this poor artist out beyond the fences and the freakshow is alittle closer to becomming manageable, in a freakshow sorta way and we're lookin at some clearing of those judicial clouds and the lawyers seems happy enough... and if your like me, we're expecting and are prepared for the ambush at any moment. So, with that said, i'm marriying the girl and we're happy. and gonna stay that way ...i swear.
